OMG I JUST LEARNED WHERE THE ORIGINAL VLOGBROTHERS INTRO TUNE CAME FROM

hahahahahahaha, a couple things.

  1. I didn’t even know I had this song, I got it along with a bunch of other stuff from my girlfriend.
  2. This is further proof that John and Hank Green are brilliant.  The choice of their intro song is a subtle reference that could be easily overlooked and nothing is lost by passing it by, but if you understand the reference you realize that it fits perfectly.
  3. Listening to this song for a second time, “as our December sun is setting.”  did they commission this song!? haha.

I love unexpected discoveries such as these, both unknown songs in my iTunes and connections not previously seen.

Song I wrote for a class. There are no effects in this song, just pure voice and Uke how I sang and how I played.  It’s pretty much live, except I sing harmonies to myself, which I can’t do live, obviously.

“The Great Perhaps” (lyrics from the novel Looking for Alaska by John Green)

for optimal listening- put yo headphones in :)

I can’t stop listening to this song and crying. It’s the good crying, but f, this is beautiful.

Wow, this is a very good song about Looking for Alaska. Wow.

Former Doctor Who Companion Arthur Darvill Hits Broadway In “Once”

If you happened to be on Broadway last Friday, you might have had the fortune of coming across Arthur Darvill beginning a run in the hit show Once!

Somehow defying the laws of Doctor Who fandom Darvill takes up the role of Guy in the production which was previously held by Steve Kazee – and is believed to be signed up until December, thanks to an exchange program between the US and UK Equity unions.

I love the soundtrack to this musical. I really wish I could see him in it.
